The Cottage
Quilmore Cottage is a professionally renovated, detached wood and stone building, once a pig sty! Set into the hillside above the main house of Quilmore Hill Farm, with its own stone stairway leading to the cottage front door and private terrace. The cottage accommodates two people but may not be suitable for those who have difficulty climbing stairs or who suffer from a disability as the bedroom is accessed by a spiral stairway and the bathroom is located downstairs.
Inside, the interior is open plan and heated in the winter by a Clear View log burning fire. There is comfortable furniture, a small dining table and chairs, TV, books, games DVD’s, maps and guides to the local area.
The open plan kitchen leads from the lounge area and provides everything you will need for a comfortable stay. An electric cooker with an integral grill and a ceramic hob. A full size fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle. Plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans. We also supply tea towels, dishwasher tablets and some basic essentials such as foil, clingfilm. On arrival you will find fresh milk, eggs, bread and homemade cake with our compliments.
Upstairs, via the spiral staircase is the galleried bedroom with a low beamed ceiling and a king size bed. The lighting can be dimmed from the bed and the view from the window is panoramic.
The bathroom is located downstairs off the kitchen. There is a shower, toilet, lighted mirror with shaver point and a heated towel rail. We supply complimentary toiletries and thick white towels.
Outside, the cottage has its own private terrace. Here you will find the hot tub, a table and chairs and a barbecue with tools. The hot tub is for your private use during your stay and we supply bath robes so you can shower indoors before stepping outside to relax and unwind.
