Quilmore is a detached building of wood and stone. It is situated
on the slopes of Black Hill in South Shropshire, two miles from Clunton,
four miles from Clun and about five miles from the Welsh border. It
accommodates two people. There are superb views from every window.
The interior

The interior of the building is open plan, making it light and airy.
There is a sprial staircase leading to the gallery bedroom. The log
burner is very effective in heating the building and gives a cosy focal
point for winter evenings. All fuel is supplied.

The lounge

The lounge area has Parker Knoll furniture. There is a two-seater settee
and a recliner easy chair. Both are extremely comfortable. The
television receives satellite programmes and is also a DVD and CD player
so that you can enjoy your favourite films and music. A selection of
DVDs and CDs is in the cottage. A variety of modern books and boxed
games are for your use. Among the books are maps and guides to the area.

The kitchen

There is a dining table and two dining chairs. The open-plan kitchen
is off the lounge area. The electric cooker has an integral grill
and a four ring instant heat ceramic hob. Other equipment
includes a microwave, dish washer, toaster, full size fridge and
freezer.and electric kettle. There is a good supply of crockery,
cutlery, cooking pans and a steamer. Tea towels, dish
washer tablets, foil and other essentials
are supplied. Separate laundry facilities are available to guests.
On arrival you will find tea, coffee, fresh milk and home
made cake with our compliments so you start your holiday refreshed!

The bedroom

The spiral staircase leads to the low-beamed bedroom. A superb king
sized bed has a continental duvet and is dressed with crisp linen.
A good sized wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables and lamps, and
two case stands complete the bedroom. Lighting can be dimmed from the
bed, and from elsewhere, to suit your mood.

The bathroom

The bathroom leads off the lounge area. It has a walk in shower, vanity
unit with lighted mirror and shaver point, heated towel rail, and
toilet. We supply delicately fragranced House of Orchard toiletries,
and thick soft white towels.

The patio

Immediately outside is the private patio. There is a cast iron table
and chairs with a parasol for shade on hot summer days. When evenings
take a chill guests can light the wood-burning Adobe Chimenea -
a traditional South American way of open air heating. Wood is
supplied. There is also a barbecue with a full case of tools for al
fresco dining. Enjoy the view while eating and relaxing.

The spa

On the patio is the outdoor hot spa with aromatherapy, and jets
and blowers to massage you as you soak. Or leave them off
and have a serenely quiet session. Bathe during the day and feel
yourself slowly unwind as you gaze at the distant hills. Or bathe at
night and marvel at the swathe of stars above you, clear of light
pollution. The tub is heated to your liking and has reclining
positions and upright seats. Spend as much time as you like
in the tub during your stay at Quilmore. We supply bath robes so
you can change indoors and then take the few steps outside to the spa.
